Mr. Bauman is the founder and managing member of Quest Intel Services, LLC which provides integrated forensic services to individuals, businesses and institutions such as banks and not-for-profit entities.

Quest provides expert witness services in litigation matters, including but not limited to: divorce, child support, partnership and shareholder disputes, embezzlements, money laundering, hidden assets, income tax controversies, bankruptcy fraud, debt workouts, reorganizations and due diligence services.

Mr. Bauman is a member of:
The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (served as a member of the Board of Examiners for the CPA Examination)

Board member of The Chicago Crime Commission

Served as an advisor to Cook County Health and Hospital Services Audit Committee

Mr. Bauman, while a member of The Executives Club of Chicago, was chairperson of its Education Task Force which resulted from his experiences in Chicago Public Schools while he was lecturing students on opera for the Lyric Opera of Chicago in The Classroom Project.

He received a commendation from the United States Attorney’s Office for his participation in U.S. v Gilbert Trading Company.
Mr. Bauman has served as an expert witness for the FBI and various private attorneys.

As befitting a forensic investigator, Mr. Bauman continues to read the Sherlock Holmes canon and has published a monograph “John H. Watson, M.D., an Exploration of His Early Years, 1852 through 1881.”
